About the context

"Shared Innovation!" is the mission of Bouygues Construction Group, a global leader in sustainable construction with 53,000 employees across 60 countries.

Bouygues Construction designs, builds, renovates, operates, and deconstructs structures in the building, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Since October 2021, the Edflex solution has gradually been integrated as a digital content solution within their Learning Management System (LMS).

Currently, the penetration rate of the solution among the populations with access is approximately 20%. Various campaigns to support employees in using the solution are underway, aiming to achieve a 90% engagement rate by 2023. The most popular categories for 2022 are related to personal development, such as time management and critical thinking, as well as the highly consulted management category.

What are the goals

For the group, supporting individuals interested in creating a franchise has become an obvious priority. With a strong emphasis on human values, providing entrepreneurial support around their service is seen as essential.
  • Support the group's employees in developing their cross-functional skills through an offering tailored to new learning habits (format, duration, visibility, access).
  • Provide precise and tailored content in response to the group's skills development plan.
  • Maintain an up-to-date content catalog to meet the constant demand for new skills.
  • Create "generalist" content programs around construction professions (e.g., digital twins, eco-construction) to promote awareness and expertise in these areas.

Our project managers work daily with the group's teams to understand and define content needs and learner profiles based on their context and skills development plan. This has enabled us to create a "skill map" and align needs with our content. Finally, we are working on specific and optimized integrations with employees' daily tools to provide the best learning experience.

Setting up a strategy

During the implementation of the solution, project teams were organized to achieve a rapid deployment schedule within 6 weeks.

We recommended a phased deployment, starting with a group of testers for a few months before rolling it out to the entire target population.

A communication plan was then created with the group, tailored to the specific contexts and challenges of each segment, to support learners in their learning journey. Throughout the deployment, content such as infographics, webinars, and mailings were shared to ensure the highest possible engagement rate.

Analysis of the result

An average usage rate of 30% per month (market average is 13%) and an overall NPS of +64 from learners' feedback on their learning experience. The real benefit is mainly seen in the skill development of employees, particularly in areas such as time management, teamwork, and decision-making.
